Profiles and Countries

The properties of a vehicle are stored in a profile. The vehicle properties, such as height and weight, are considered when the best way between two stops is calculated. In the Route Optimization service only the defined reference profiles are supported. Not all profiles are available in all countries.

Note: If no reference profile has been selected, the default profile EUR_TRAILER_TRUCK is automatically used with the default attribute values. In difference to the Routing service, the values of the attributes of the individual reference profiles cannot be changed.

Countries in which European profiles (EUR_) are supported

The countries in which the European profiles are supported, include the member states of the AETR (European Agreement concerning the work of crews of vehicles engaged in international Road Transport) and their non-European territories.

Note: If the profile is supported in the countries of two consecutive stops, then the way between both stops is calculated by means of a search graph (the road network is taken into account). If the profile is not supported in one of both countries (for instance on the way between a stop in Spain and a stop in Morocco), then the way between both stops is calculated by means of the direct distance (the road network is not taken into account).

Countries in which Australian profiles (AUS_) are supported

The countries in which the Australian profiles are supported, include all countries and territories of Australia, the island Tasmania and New Zealand.

Note: If the profile is supported in the countries of two consecutive stops, then the way between both stops is calculated by means of a search graph (the road network is taken into account). If the profile is not supported in one of both countries (for instance on the way between a stop in Queensland and a stop in Papua New Guinea), then the way between both stops is calculated by means of the direct distance (the road network is not taken into account).
