Relevant Terms

The following terms are important to understand the whole use case.

 

Customer location, Depot locationGeographical location where pickup or delivery needs to be carried out or where the vehicle is located. If there is more than one pickup/delivery at the same customer location, they are grouped to one stop. A depot location is always at the beginning of a route or at the end of a route. Pickup, DeliveryA certain service action to be performed at a location as requested by a transport (pickup and delivery of transport goods).
TransportAn order to transport goods from one location to another. See Locations, Transports and Stops for more details.
RouteA route is a sequence of stops and specifies where and in which order goods are to be picked up or delivered.
StopStops group subsequent pickups and/or deliveries within a route that are carried out at the same location. See Locations, Transports and Stops for more details.
