The following terms are important to understand the whole use case.
Customer location, Depot location | Geographical location where pickup or delivery needs to be carried out or where the vehicle is located. If there is more than one pickup/delivery at the same customer location, they are grouped to one stop. A depot location is always at the beginning of a route or at the end of a route. Pickup, Delivery | A certain service action to be performed at a location as requested by a transport (pickup and delivery of transport goods). |
Transport | An order to transport goods from one location to another. See Locations, Transports and Stops for more details. |
Route | A route is a sequence of stops and specifies where and in which order goods are to be picked up or delivered. |
Stop | Stops group subsequent pickups and/or deliveries within a route that are carried out at the same location. See Locations, Transports and Stops for more details. |
