Profiles and Countries

The Route Optimization OptiFlow Service tries to find the best way between two stops. It considers vehicle-specific characteristics, such as height and weight, which are defined in the routing profile. Additionally, it takes into account the traffic situation, as outlined in one of the two available traffic modes:

  • The constant traffic mode describes the situation where travel times stay the same, no matter the departure time. In this scenario, traffic conditions are assumed to be steady and unaffected by rush hours, events, or other temporary changes in congestion.
  • The average traffic mode describes the situation where travel times fluctuate, depending on the departure time. In this scenario, a typical traffic situation for that time of day and day of week will be considered such as the rush-hour on Monday morning or light traffic on Saturday evening.

The supported combinations of routing profiles, traffic modes and countries are described in the tables below.
