Profiles and Countries

The properties of a vehicle are stored in a profile. The vehicle properties, such as height and weight, are considered when the best way between two stops is calculated. In the Route Optimisation service, only the defined reference profiles are supported. Not all profiles are available in all countries.

Note: If no reference profile has been selected, and if the majority of locations are in the Americas, USA_8_SEMITRAILER_5AXLE is used as the default. Otherwise, EUR_TRAILER_TRUCK is used as the default. In difference to the Routing service, the values of the attributes of the individual reference profiles cannot be changed.

World profile

Profile	Description
BICYCLE	Non-motorized bicycle modeled as a courier or performing service. Sequence optimization is limited to 25 km direct distance between any two locations.

OSM Profiles

Beside the above standard profiles you can also use the following predefined OSM Profiles for Optimization. If you choose one of the OSM Profiles then the distance and traveltimes used during optimization are calculated with our OSM servcies
